Painting techniques of watercolor painting

As the name suggests, the technique of watercolor painting is based on the water. Dissolved in water color pigments are usually applied to bright, woodfree, usually soaked with water paper. Unlike other painting techniques of painting surface shines therethrough the colors. Color mixtures are generally formed by overlapping painting various transparent color layers and give fantastic color and glaze effects. White is created where the paper base is left out.
For my watercolors I use the finest artist-watercolor by Schmincke, high quality marten hair brush and acid free 300 g/m² watercolor paper by Hahnemühle. For a aging resistant protection, the painting is finally fixed with a special spray.
